This exhibition noted that Contemporary fashion is moving toward a closer relationship with the body, skin, and environment. The artist looked at it as an expansion in the field of Contemporary fashion design and tried to express it as a work in this exhibition. The rationale for this view was that it was provided with a framework of recognition in the discourse of modern philosophers and theorists, and that it was intended to look at Contemporary fashion based on the view of the body and epidermis.
The body, skin, and environment are led by the body, skin, and environment in the relationship between the body and the skin and the environment, which the author saw as an expansion of Contemporary fashion. The work is developed by giving physical space to the body, inducing changes in the senses and emotions of the body, and utilizing the intermedia between the body and the body of others by the medium nature of the body. In the skin surrounding the body, the boundaries with the environment were dismantled, intended for the skin of open boundaries, and the skin of visible thorns and invisible potential. In some works, the sense of touch, which is becoming important in modern society, is recognized from the visual center to the whole body, and is intended to maximize the sense of touch. In addition, the environment means everything that exists in the surrounding environment except the body and skin, including the viewer, light, temperature, humidity, etc., which can be manipulated by such surroundings, and it is intended to be represented as a combination of virtual environments.
The symbols and images on the epidermis of contemporary art and design are disappearing from the conceptual symbols and meanings that have previously been formed. Independence has been secured as a superficial image with excluded meaning and depth, and in the epidermis, as the visual-centered perceptual method has changed to tactile-centered perceptual method, there is an expansion of tactile experience by re-recognition of tactile. Contemporary digital technology and imaginative manipulated technological images have resulted in non-material and de-material images that are hard to distinguish between virtual and real, creating an expanded sense of epidermis. Also, our bodies have an open media presence and participation in the outside world as subjects. The body's specific experience allows the body to expand as it perceives the world and undergoes repeated experiences. In addition, the tool combined with the body forms a body frame by the interaction of the senses, which integrates with the tool, and the embedded medium extends into the sensory organs and the body. Body organs are no longer fixed or definitive and are fluid and transformative. The body is an uncertainty and expands as the conception of the existing body is dismantled, divided, mixed and recombined by disparate things. In this exhibition, ten fashion works were conceived to reflect this aspect of modern society.
Through these various attempts, it is an exhibition that attempts to show that Contemporary fashion is expanding into a medium, interface, and de-boundary existence. Contemporary fashion plays a role as a medium for creating experiences, expanding the body's space, and active communication, and Contemporary fashion plays a role and meaning as an interface for connecting and connecting physical and environmental reality with virtual, visible and non-visible. In addition, Contemporary fashion tends to de-bodyize, and on the other hand, it is meaningful as a de-boundary being in which the body and fashion's unity and hierarchy are dismantled.
